Life’s Inspirational Moments Anthologies

 

 

What kind of stories are we after?

We want happy, sad, funny and insightful true-life stories, but most of all they must be positive and relate to the topics we are collecting for. Think of an event that happened, an outing, a moment, a realisation, in every part of life there are moments when the challenge is worthwhile, when realisation dawns or when the spirit of life shines through. These are the stories we want to hear about. Help us create a book that will inspire people to keep laughing, living, learning and striving to excel.

Submission Guidelines

 

Stories must be:

v       500 – 1200 words.

v       written in the first person (using ‘I’ or ‘we’).

v       something you have written.

v       owned by you.

v       written in English.

v       true.

 

Poems must be 25 lines or less

 

Classic Comments must be:

v      150 words or less.

v      Written in the style of an anecdote.

v      Where possible include dialogue.

 

 

Submitted work must not be:

v       previously published in a large scale publication. If you are unsure tell us where it has been previously published when you send in the story.

v       a diatribe, a eulogy, information only, insulting, derogatory, preachy or soap-boxing. Remember, it's the story we are after.

 

Submitting your work

 

v       When you have written your story, please cut and paste it into the body of an email. In order to protect our computers from sneaky virus’ we do not open email attachments. Emails sent to elizabeth@lifesinspirationalmoments.com are our primary choice for accepting manuscripts, however if you are unable to access the internet please send your work (with a stamped, return envelope) to PO Box 122, Quinns Rocks. WA 6030 Australia.

v       Don’t forget to include your name and address on your manuscript so that we can contact you if your story is successful.

v       Feel free to submit more than one story, but only one copy of each story please.

 

Payment

The best story published in each book (as deemed by the compilers) will receive a payment of AUS$100. Four runners up will be awarded AUS$50 each. Along with this we will happily send each published author a copy of the book and include a short bio about them in the back of the publication.
